2022 Chairs
Lately, I've enjoyed exploring shape and color combinations and taking baby steps toward abstraction. I'm intrigued by the way paint colors and brush strokes have a voice of their own apart from the subject matter. As I painted these, I was meditating on the idea of rest and slowing down -- that we are made for it, that we are invited to it, that we're bad at it -- and I think it's interesting that the colors that came together are rather playful. Rest makes room for play, and we're made for that too. Hope you enjoy these #restreminders.
